OMG! It's my birthday today, but I wasn't planning on doing anything, or getting anything for that matter... but low and behold, the day I said "I don't want anything this year," was the day they went out and bought me lindor chocolates (heaven! ); 3 new books on how to write in japanese; a flash drive so i can transfer more things more quickly! (mostly stuff I nick from my sisters comp); and cue drum roll! the biggest god damn effin' notebook laptop I have ever seen, never mind dreamed of owning.
You see, earlier this week, mother ran into a pop-up that told her there were more than 29 virus threats hidden in my sistem, and she just click 'scan' which meant that some pile of crap fake virus protection thing infiltrated my old comp, rendering it incapable of accessing the internet, it also made the computer so slow that - and I'm not joking - it actually takes over 17 mins (I timed it, there was nothing else to do) just to start up and come to the loggin password screen!
So this morning when i got up and came down stairs i was confrunted with a carrier full of gifts, and when they'd been opened, she brought down a giant box containing the very computer I am sat at now!
And as a bit of fun I'm going to upload the short story I wrote for my school exam earlier this year.
